Fonts, Objects, and configuration

Documentation issues in BlackBox.

I naively attempted to enter a squareroot symbol into the document I was creating and
ended up frustrated at not finding one. I have done this in the past so what has changed?

Well I see that my favorite Math fonts are missing from this new machine. So I say, hmm,
why is this so and how does BlackBox use and get its fonts? After a 10 minute search
of the BB documentation I see nothing that addresses this issue, why not?

I must guess, assume, and surmise that somewhere in the Windows registry(?) there is
a listing of Fonts that are installed by all the other (non BB) applications on the
machine I am using and that *somehow* BB is able to use that global knowledge of
fonts and display it in the BB Fonts window. Guessing, guessing on my part. But,
says I, doesn't this mean that if a document is sent to another machine without
the special fonts that the document will be corrupted? Hmm, don't know, seems
like it would.

So I ask myself, self says I, wouldn't it be better if the BlackBox document says
exactly what "resources" it uses and how they are installed and the consequences
of relying on them if a resource is no longer present? Perhaps it does say this,
but where?
