As far as I know, the original rtf standard did not include embedded
elements such as graphics.
Microsoft is using an extended rtf format that does support them.
May be embedded elements are in the standard now, but the converter
included in Blackbox certainly does not support them.

        Subject: [BLACKBOX] Clipboard or BlackBox?

I have a question about the clipboard.

In the past when I converted a document to .rtf format
everything worked well except the bitmap views were
        not copied.

If by hand I copied the bitmaps to the .rtf file then that worked.
Why is that hand step necessary? That's question (1)

In order to publish the physics paper on which I am working
I needed to purchase MathType which I did and which works
quite nicely even in BlackBox documents! (OLE supported)

I also needed to purchase Word2010 since Physical Review
        Letters needs that format.

When I select all (Ctrl-A) in my BlackBox document copy it
and then paste it into Word2010 all the text is copied correctly
with the formatting but not of the graphics or MathType equations
are. By hand copying each of those I can insert them into the
        Word document.

So my question (2) is why can't I get everything in one pass?
Why is hand copying needed for the bitmaps and MathType
equations? Is this a clipboard problem or is it a BlackBox
        problem?
