  I forgot to mention that my version of DevSearch does not ignore
changes in whitespace (including end-of-line characters), since those
changes make Subversion see the file as "modified". That explains the
difference in highlighting.
  That is also the reason I never use one-line versions of IF, WHILE
and other constructs: it is hard to see the essence of a change once
those evolve into multiline versions, just like in the first of your
samples, Helmut.
  As to the second sample, I can see next to no differences in
highlighting between my DevSearch and the original DevSearch. Could
you be more specific about what's wrong with it? I did not understand
you colour coding and "current-should be" distiction.
