as I understand it, David: please correct me, the problem
is the following:
The regional settings (in a german windows xp, this can be
found here:
Start->Einstellungen->Systemsteuerung->Regions- und Sprachoptionen
english might be:
Start->Run->Control <Enter> Regional Settings?)
define number formats for user interaction (see attached
screenshots).
I personally appreciate that BlackBox does not follow these
settings (neither in forms nor in the program source), but
I can understand that someone asks for being able to have
forms, which allow for localized settings.
It is sometimes very difficult to force naive users to use
international standards. Additionaly: the key between zero
and Enter on the numerical keypad enters a comma with a german
keyboard ...
I don't like the idea of having programs using 1,0 for a
floating point 1.0 ...
