There is a book in german called "Delphi fur Kids" -Hans-Georg Schumann.
IThis book learns kids to program in TP. Then, in delphi3, they learn
make the same programs in an object-oriented way. The transition of the
structured paradigm to the object paradigm is fully acceptable for kids
(and adults) - just by making small programs and explore the
possibilities of the language and IDE.

I would be nice if someone would write a book called "Blackbox for Kids.
Explaining the transition from structured to component-paradigm. GPC
compiled programmes to Blackbox..

A small remark on the Lazarus project (opensource Delphi). The
compile-time is frustrating long. The executables are very large (even
when optimized). The help-function and documentation is still immature.
At this moment Lazarus cannot replace Delphi.
