yes it is the name. I guess they still think of Oberon-X
as experimental extensions (which they are) and not
production.

But the current alpha of NO is packed in standard zip
format. You can download them from
ftp://ftp.inf.ethz.ch/pub/ETHOberon/Native/Update/Alpha/
and look at the source with e.g. Windows Oberon.
Although I installed NO in the meantime several times,
it has some problems with my hardware ... and I have
some problems with the user - interface ... :-)

I don't know if you ever heard of the spanish
anarcho-syndicalistic movement before their
civil war, I liked their ideas.

PS:

I also don't know, but since I stumbled over the
Kronos links some time ago (kronos.ws2000.com)
and the former Kronos-Research Group in Novosibirk,
I reckon that the commercial flop of M2 & Oberon may
have to do with a fear-uncertainty-doubt campaign of
some secret service.
