In the ideal world, yes. And in fact, there is. The way is called
"BlackBox", if you have not guessed yet.

According to my observations, regardless of the nominal profession (a
scientist, an engineer) the main product of a successful employee is how
well s/he can please the management and at the same time deflect the
stream of darts from the peers. (Usually there is one or two such peers
who constantly throw darts at others. Just fill in the names: .....).
LabView is a particularily effective tool to achieve both tasks. That's
why it is so valuable. I was surprised to what extent the inherent weak
substance of LabView is outweight by its amazing strengths in helping the
corporate employees to survive in their environment.

In this respect, BlackBox actually already has the answer. Looking at the
CPC website I can see a collection of good-looking GUI elements which go
way beyond the built-in Forms. Very good looking GUIs can be created using
the CPC software. Most of us in this list do not pay much attention to
such embellishments, because we somehow stay away from the corporate
games. But if someone wants to play the game, then BlackBox actually is a
pretty good tool. Just download what is out there on the CPC and start
using it.

BlackBox has been created by the community and therefore it reflects our
needs. We did not need to make it look particularily slick. However, over
the years, many slick extensions have accumulated anyway. Impressive GUIs
can be done with BlackBox. If there is need then more such GUI elements
can be designed based on the existing examples.

There is no need to throw darts at BlackBox look-and-feel because it can
easily be made much slickier.

W.
