Does this install as a windows service under Wine? I haven't gotten that far in my exploration.
Somehow, I had reverted back to 1.6rc5. Once 1.6rc6 was running, this started smoothly under XP. The example database is in flat .txt files in App\Objects
My installation uses the "Server" configuration for BlackBox,
target: "C:\Program Files\BlackBox Component Builder 1.6\BlackBox.exe" /Use "%appdata%\Blackbox_Working"
start in: %appdata%\Blackbox_Working
Module O3stdSqlMysql makes me think I can connect to a MySQL server on my Ubuntu system, once I am more familiar with the system.

I had forgotten about O3. I just downloaded the zip file but see
that all of the
files are at the same level. .ocf, .odc, .osf, .txt, etc.

They shouldn't be. The zip file I have shows approx 20 different folders
including:
O3-WAF-GPL_090918\O3std\Code\
O3-WAF-GPL_090918\O3std\Mod\
O3-WAF-GPL_090918\O3std\Sym\
...
...
If you are using WinZip to extract the files, tick the 'Use folder names'
checkbox on the 'Extract' dialog box to make sure the folder structure is
preserved for the extracted files.
