Dear Oleg, dear Robert,

gut gebrüllt Löwe - well said Robert. Everything you said is right. Let me have a look from the other side.

1st
Shellexec.dll is an old obsolete program from Microsoft. Its task is to get the auto start of CD ROM's running on all old operating systems (Win 3.1 Win 95, Win 98, NT and 2000). You find it on very old CD's. The latest version I have is from the year 2000. On today's system you needn't it any more.

2nd
BlackBox 1.5 also runs on those old operating systems mention above. BlackBox 1.6 doesn't run on them, because they don't support Unicode in the system calls (except NT and 2000). The oldest operating system, which I have currently access, is XP. The XP system will be dispose during this year.

Back to the Oleg's questions.
If I'm looking backward then I have to leave InfoCmds as it is.
If I'm looking forward then I can discard Shellexec.dll and just call Robert's program LibMisc.ShellExecute.

Now I'm on the problem which Fyodor already mention in this mailing list a long time ago: Too many subsystems depending on other subsystems on CPC. Should I call or should I copy?

There are many solutions on CPC. How to find them? How to group them together? Which one?

Regards

Helmut Zinn
