Hi:

you can print directly to a .pdf "printer"
named PDFWriter. This printer is created when
you install the full Adobe Acrobat package
(not the free Acrobat Reader). You can select
this "pseudo printer" like any other printer
under Windows. The printing does not seem
to go through the intermediate postscript/Distiller
step, or maybe .ps was so well hidden that
I did not notice. To me it looks as if the PDF
is created directly on disk.

I routinely use the PDF printer to create
PDF files from applications such as Netscape,
Word, electronic design software, etc.
This pseudo-printer used to work with BB 1.3
as well. I have not used it with BB 1.4 yet.
It happen to me that the PDF file created
from some application was corrupt and could not
be printed on paper. This recently happened to me
with EDA software. But usually printing to PDF works OK
for me.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

You don't necessarily have to go through Word to produce a PDF file.
Acrobat Distiller turns any PostScript file into a PDF file. You can
print directly from BlackBox. Instead of directing your output to a
printer, simply save the output as a PostScript file on your hard disk
and open it manually with Acrobat Distiller. Word automatically creates
bookmarks for you. You won't have them if you print from BlackBox, but
perhaps that's OK since you won't have to copy and paste graphics.
