default text views

Dear Colleagues

If one uses the commands "TextViews.Deposit; StdCmds.PasteView"

a default text view is pasted into the focus window. On my system at least
it is a very 'long' embedded view, and of course it can be resized with the
mouse.

In the BB documentation there are a lot of small embedded text windows,
often with small pieces of code (e.g. in the Views tutorial). Is there a
simple way to paste such a 'small' text view into a window (thus avoiding
the need to resize the 'long' embedded text view every time)?
