Introduction

Hello,

a few words to introduce myself, and a question which I hope someone can
help me with, please.

I've been a software developer, in the UK, for about 20 years, currently
working as a freelance contract business analyst/project manager.

I learned COBOL on a govt. training course and was taught to use a
Pascal-like pseudo-code for program design. I couldn't understand why we
were writing COBOL when there was something like Pascal around.

When I became interested in PCs I scouted around for a good language and was
introduced to Modula-2 (v1.x of the TopSpeed compiler) by a friend. I took
to it pretty quickly - I'd been using SCL and S3 on ICL mainframes. These
languages were descended from Algol, so no surprise that I liked Modula-2. I
wrote quite a big database server package in Modula-2 about 10 years ago. It
communicated at IPX/SPX level with peers.

As Oberon came on the scene I got a version of it, but I was running a DOS
PC at the time, so I didn't get on with it too well. However, the
Reiser/Wirth book was an excellent intro to GUI fundamentals, so I designed
and wrote a rudimentary GUI in M2 based on the book. A good way to learn
about objects and the event-driven model. I've been using Oberon/F/CP for
some years now, in a private capacity. I don't work in a segment of the
industry where it stands much chance of adoption. I mainly use it for my own
experiments, tests and education, but I haven't had the time to get down
into the real guts of the system.

This brings me to my question: does anybody have, or know where I can get,
CP code for toolbars, and/or docking windows?

Thanks in advance,

Bob Walkden
